Southern Brittany – the natural holiday experience!

Magnificent, varied, monumental, amazing… there is no lack of superlatives to describe southern Brittany. Why not come and see for yourself?

Rediscover your wild instincts

If we were to choose a single adjective, it would be: wild. Swept by the winds and sculpted by the waves, the Breton coast is ever-changing! Don’t expect to tame the waves for a pleasant dip – this is a place for walking along the cliffs and hiking coastal trails. From Château Turpault to Pointe du Percho, you can admire a multitude of caves, coves, arches and reefs that make this place unique. It is a place where nature unleashes its splendour and where the overwhelming force of the elements can sometimes make you feel very small!

Explore the Gulf of Morbihan

The Gulf of Morbihan is said to have been created by the tears of the fairies who were driven out of the forest of Broceliande and their crowns were transformed into islands. The explanation seems entirely plausible, given the beauty of the site! Discover the medieval city of Vannes, explore the countryside and forests in search of old chapels and castles and walk the trails from Rhuys peninsula to the Landes de Lanvaux. So, do you believe us now?

Beautiful Belle-Ile-en-Mer

Belle-Ile-en-Mer lies off the Gulf of Morbihan. Painted by Monet, captured in song by Laurent Voulzy, this island jewel lives at the pace of the ocean and the little boats that connect it to the continent. Why not take the opportunity to tour the island on foot or by bike? Let yourself be charmed by the traditional houses of the port of Sauzon, head for the Pointe des Poulains to pay tribute the great actress Sarah Bernhardt and absorb the grand spectacle of nature. During heavy weather the foam whips against the needles of Port Coton and surfers and body-boarders take advantage of the rollers on the beach at Donnant! Before you take the boat back to the mainland, remember to pay a visit to the Belle-Iloise… you are sure to find a little place at the bottom of your bag for their delicious sardines!
